Jocelyn Amoruso, MSW, Registered Social Worker
Jocelyn is a Registered Social Worker with extensive clinical experience, holding a bachelor’s degree from the University of Calgary and a master’s degree from Dalhousie University. Throughout her career, Jocelyn has specialized in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, and perinatal mental health, including postpartum concerns. She has developed advanced clinical skills through her work in a variety of therapeutic roles within mental health clinics across Calgary, providing the most effective and innovative therapies to diverse client populations.
She has a particular interest and specialization in working with perinatal and postpartum populations, bringing both a unique perspective and deep commitment to this area of practice. Jocelyn has advanced her clinical expertise through specialized training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) from the BECK Institute and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) from the Cognitive Behavioral Institute Center for Education in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Her therapeutic approach is flexible and includes evidence-based modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). She prioritizes adapting each treatment plan to meet the unique needs of the individual, ensuring personalized and effective care.
Jocelyn is dedicated to supporting clients who are experiencing over thinking, excessive worry, and rumination. Jocelyn works with people to achieve meaningful and life changing progress. She approaches therapy with compassion, empathy and clinical insight, working collaboratively with clients to help them move toward greater well-being.
Desiree Olivera, MA, Registered Psychologist, Clinic Owner
Desiree is a clinically trained registered psychologist with a strong foundation in the assessment and treatment of complex mental health conditions. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Calgary and a master’s degree from Yorkville University. Her clinical training was completed at the Claresholm Centre for Mental Health and Addiction, one of Alberta’s largest inpatient hospitals, where she gained valuable experience working with individuals experiencing a range of severe and persistent mental health disorders.
With a deep professional interest in anxiety-related conditions, Desiree has developed a particular passion for treating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and other anxiety disorders. She has completed extensive training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), including formal certification through the Cognitive Behavioral Institute Center for Education in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This training informs her evidence-based approach to anxiety treatment.
Desiree’s clinical practice is further supported by training in a broad range of therapeutic modalities, including Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), Rumination-Focused ERP, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Self-Compassion practices. Her diverse clinical skill set allows her to tailor treatment plans to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
She is dedicated to helping clients navigate anxiety, intrusive thoughts, obsessions, chronic worry, and rumination. Desiree prioritizes creating a warm, authentic, and supportive therapeutic environment that encourages growth and fosters meaningful, lasting change.
